The plant Jatropha curcas
Jatropha is a drying-firm plant of several years well in marginal, poor soils grows. This to a high degree drying-firm sort adapts to the dry and arid conditions. The present distribution shows the fact that the cultivation in drier, hot regions with an annual precipitation of approximately 300 - 1000 millimeters is successful. It prospers mainly in lower heights (on /0-500m) and within the ranges with average annual temperatures well over 25 °C. In addition, in larger heights it grows and permits slightly frost. Jatropha grows on well discharged soils and adapts thereby to the local soil conditions within the first years very well.
Our beginning
Our beginning is a closed cycle of the irrigation, and/or making the soil, over cultivation, the raising, to represent up to the economic utilization of the harvest.
For this we co-operate with partners locally in the cultivation regions. These organize the respective processes and take care for the fact that in the sense of „fair trade “all took part a solid existence construct can. By the sales of the harvests the agrarian landlords receive the incomes, the operators locally can further secure more surfaces.
The harvest introduced to the industrialized countries is pressed and used by so-called energy landlords. Completely special attention thereby is to the association because of the production Agro pellets, which can arrive at the thermal utilization.
Thus is guaranteed a yield production of 100% from the Jatropha plant.
On the one side the won oil can be used as energy-slow-acting, e.g. in form of a fuel, on the other side the press cake can be used as raw material for heat gain.
A discussion over the employment of food as an energy supplier cannot be begun with Jatropha, since this plant is unsuitable for the consumption , this plant again can not be cultivated in Germany and global connections used and thus ecological and economic unequal weights can not be balanced.
